Strait of Georgia, BC, Canada – While taking the ferry to Victoria I saw this and thought “isn’t it funny how clouds can mimic mountains”. In this shot we have a variety of cloud types layered one on top of the other. The mountains beneath pale in contrast to the clouds above them. Captured on a Canon 20D using a 70-300mm lens.
Arrowhead Provincial Park, ON, Canada – Upon arriving at Arrowhead we decied to walk over to Mayflower Lake. What we found was a perfectly still lake creating a near perfect beautiful reflection of the small island in it’s middle. When I zoomed in with the camera the result was almost abstract. Captured with a Canon 20D using a 70-300mm lens.
Arrowhead Provincial Park, ON, Canada – It’s funny how our eyes find common shapes and patterns so quickly. While taking this picture I came across an angle that quickly transformed this long exposure waterfall into something more. The silhouette of what appears to be a person’s face emerges from beneath the rushing water. Captured with a Canon 20D using a 70-300mm lens.
Oakville, ON, Canada – When looking for a subject willing to be photographed, I find seagulls to be pretty loyal to the task. All it takes is some french fries. They will come to wherever you are and find a spot to observe you from. As long as you stay there with fries they will stay there and wait. Then it’s simply a matter of point and shoot. Captured with a Canon 20D using a 70-300mm lens.
Sauble Beach, ON, Canada – Nothing says the day is almost over like the sun setting. I’m often attracted to celestial events due to their natural beauty. Although certain characteristics can be anticipated the final composition can never be predicted or duplicated. Captured with a Canon 20D using a 70-300mm lens.
Toronto, ON, Canada – Sometimes the most amazing things are happening and we fail to notice. On my drive today I looked up and this is what I saw. At a red light, I had enough time to fire off 5 shots before getting on the highway. These are some knurly clouds. Captured with a Canon 20D using a 70-300 lens.
Vancouver, BC, Canada – Lazy Sunday had me searching through pictures when I came across this one I captured in January 2009. As the sunset on Vancouver, the tops of the surrounding mountains reflected the little light that was left while the valleys quickly darkened. Captured with a Canon 20D using a 70-300 lens.
Oakville, ON, Ontario – Ah good old hockey bleachers. Seeing them empty made me wonder how many people have set here watching their pride. Today is the first of many days for my son who started ice hockey training. These bleachers and I will become well acquainted. Captured with a Canon 5D using a 70-300mm lens.
