Miami, FL, USA – We used to seeing sandcastles during the day but rarely at night. On a walk along South Miami beach one night we came across what from the distance looked like a small fire. When we approached we saw this sandcastle dramatically lit by small candles embedded in the sand. Captured with a Kodak 6490 using a 28mm lens.
Fraser Island, QLD, Australia – Sand and ocean for miles. On this island, there are no roads. Planes and cars alike use the beach as their corridor to get things and people in and out of Fraser Island. This World Heritage site is quite unique, with trees and ferns of gigantic proportions. Captured with a Nikon F3 using a 50mm lens.
Sauble Beach, ON, Canada – Nothing says the day is almost over like the sun setting. I’m often attracted to celestial events due to their natural beauty. Although certain characteristics can be anticipated the final composition can never be predicted or duplicated. Captured with a Canon 20D using a 70-300mm lens.
